I heard yesterday that 7-11, of all places, will be part of WotLK's midnight launch tomorrow night. This comes as good news to yours truly, as the closest alternative location is upwards of 25-minute drive each way. I'll be dropping by after work today to confirm that my local store is participating in the event, then dashing home to wolf down some food and attend my last Sunwell raid.
In the last week I've been readying myself for the dash to 80, farming gold in the shrinking economy and banging out as many daily quests per day as I can make myself do. Honor will be carrying over, so I've taken a stab at accumulating some points, but PvP'ing as a Warrior is just too depressing post-3.0. Maybe (hopefully) things will perk up at 80.
[update] The woman I spoke to at the 7-11 down the street was clueless, having no idea when WotLK was to come out or what, indeed, it even is. After assuring me that all the titles they sell are for "the 360" she handed me a slip of paper to write down my name, number, and the game I'm interested in. Which I did, whereupon she stuffed it into her pocket and assured me I'd get a call when (if) my title ever came in. I wonder how many generations removed this woman is from anyone who actually plays a video game?
[bored] I guess weekly maintenance fucked up mailboxes, so servers are still down... four hours after they were supposed to have been up. In the down-time, may I suggest watching this amazing totally unrelated Youtube tribute to the music of John Williams.
